membership agreement

The House @ 1731 is an exclusive private social club, event lounge and a business café for members and their guests.  All guests must have a membership card to enter premises.  All members are still required to show either a valid driver’s license or state id to enter.  We reserve the right to refuse entrance or service to any member and/or their guests at anytime for any reason.  This includes failure to adhere to the dress code policy, overzealous behavior and intoxication.  All members and their guests are required to conduct themselves in a responsible manner.  Possessions of all weapons are strictly prohibited.  Smoking is prohibited indoors and on the patio.  However, you are free to smoke on the side of the building.  Any abuse of the rules or guidelines within this agreement can result in revocation of membership with The House @ 1731 and the expulsion from the property.

Members will be issued a membership card after completion of this agreement.  The House Membership is our Standard Membership with a fee of $1 to join. The benefits of this membership gets you entrance into the cafe/lounge every day of the week, with a possible small admission on some evenings for special events.  Each member may entertain a maximum of 5 guests with *exception of a private event held by a member on a designated day and time agreed upon by Club Manager.  Memberships are valid for one year.  You must be 21 years of age or older to enter the lounge after 6pm.

RULES:

-Memberships are for the name bearer only.

-All members must list the names of their guests on the guest register.

-The behavior of the guest will directly reflect on the membership holder.

-When consuming alcohol at The House members and guests will always act appropriately to other guests and staff.

-We expect all guests to dress appropriately.

-You may be asked to leave by any member of staff at anytime.

-No illegal substances or activity is allowed.

-Only beverages sold from behind the bar may be consumed inside of The House.

THE HOUSE APPLICATION FORM WAIVER

In exchange for the consideration of my membership at The House @ 1731 (hereinafter called “the club”, I agree that:  Neither the acceptance of this application nor the subsequent entry into any type of member relationship, service rendered, and regardless of the contents of membership handbooks, personnel manuals, benefit plans, policy statements, and the like as they may exist from time to time, or other Club practices, shall serve to create an actual or implied contract of membership, or to confer any right to remain a member of The House @ 1731, or otherwise to change in any respect the member relationship between it and the undersigned, and that relationship cannot be altered except by written instrument signed by the President/General Manager of the Club.  Both the undersigned and The House may end the membership at any time, without specified notice or reason.  If I become a member, I understand that the Club may unilaterally change or revise their benefits, policies and procedures and such may include a reduction in benefits.                                                                                                                     

I further understand that my membership with the Club shall be on an annual basis, and further that at any time during the first year of membership or anytime thereafter, my membership with the Club is terminable at will for any reason by either party.

RELEASE OF LIABILITY, WAIVER OF CLAIMS AND INDEMNITY AGREEMENT

I understand that the information contained in The House’s Blogs, Newsletters, or Magazines may not be factual but are the opinions of The House and may be used for entertainment purposes only.

By submitting my application, I confirm that I have read and understand the terms and conditions of this membership; the services or benefits provided by the club prior to signing this document; and I agree to the rules and requirements of membership at The House @ 1731.

The House @ 1731, Inc. adhere to a policy of making membership decisions without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, national origin, citizenship, age or disability.  We assure you that opportunity for membership with this Club depends solely on our ability to serve you.

Cancellations & Refunds

The House reserves the right to cancel any event held at the venue. If an event must be cancelled as a result of small attendance, emergency, or a problem with the venue, The House will refund any member and their guests any money that they have paid in advance for the event. Should a need arise where the member or their guests have purchased an admission ticket to an event held at and by The House, they may be refunded all of their money minus a processing fee of 20% if the cancellation is made within 2 weeks of event date. Any cancellation after event date will not be refunded. However, any money received may go to a future event held at and by The House.
